Domestic cats, as we know them, have no fishing skills. On the other hand, they found a way to win the fishermen\u2019s hearts a long time ago. The earliest ancestors of catsprowled around human communities as rodent police. Since mice and rats were attracted to human food, fishermen took cats along maritime trade routes, with the aim of eliminating rodents on ships and in ports. Integrating fish into the diet of our feline companions has many advantages. It is a very protein-rich meat, an excellent source of fatty acids and it also contains taurine.
